Makanlah Buah-buahan Tempatan – Singapura
In a bid to encourage the consumption of local art, interdisciplinary design studio Roots and Malaysia’s The B Team are collaborating to bring Makanlah Buah-buahan Tempatan, an art exhibition about national fruits, to Singapore.
Boedi Widjaja explores concepts of time-space in this exhibition comprising 2D drawings and interactive installations structured around the philosophies and life of composer John Cage.
From the 80s fashions of Jean Paul Gaultier to designer boutiques such as the Parisian Beausoleil, Old-Fashioned presents a retail assembly of rare spectacles and sunglasses scoured from around the world.
The official screening of Sunshine, a short film by filmmaker Jacky Lee, revolving around the story of an illegal teenage taxi driver and his passenger from hell, a runaway teenage girl.
The U Showcase

Singapore Art Book Fair
The inaugural Singapore Art Book Fair specialises in contemporary art books and zines, represented by local and international publishers, distributors and retailers.
Participants will receive an introduction to linocut, a printmaking technique dated back to the 1900s.
Gardens We Play
Workshop with Triceratops’s flower arrangement session, Gardens We Play, at The U Factory. Workshop participants will be presented with a practical class on creating vibrant bouquets of floral art.

Make Your Own Lamp
Workshop with Make Your Own at The U Factory. Workshop participants will be presented with hands-on class on creating their very own lamp made out of wood and copper pipes.
In this rubber-stamp carving workshop for beginners with Josephine Ho of LoveSprouts, participants will design their own Dala Horse.
In this hands-on basic silk screen printing workshop, Joseph Chiang of Monster Gallery will teach participants how to make their own print using the direct block-out method.
Eriko Hirashima of LA LIBRERIA will be teaching participants about the basics of stitch-binding and book art.
